The business case
For employees affected by restructuring or redundancy, navigating the job market can be daunting, particularly when they haven't searched for a role in years.
They may have valuable experience but lack a clear picture of their transferable skills, how those skills compare with the requirements of a role they're interested in, or what additional learning could help them prepare.
Employers have an opportunity to provide more meaningful support: helping affected employees understand their capabilities and make informed decisions about their next steps.

World Economic Forum · Future of Jobs Report 2025The Global Skills Passport experience
Upload a CV and identify existing technical, human and transferable skills, organised into a personalised Skills Passport.
The employee enters or selects a role they personally want to investigate. The Passport does not automatically recommend career pathways or select jobs.
Compare existing capabilities against the selected role's skills requirements. Highlight strengths, areas of alignment and potential gaps, including AI-related skills where relevant.
Present personalised online learning recommendations from different providers that address identified skills gaps.
The employee chooses the direction. The Passport provides the skills intelligence to help them assess it.
Completing learning does not prove proficiency or automatically close a skills gap. Learning recommendations do not guarantee employment or professional qualification.
Employee-chosen directions
Career transition doesn't look the same for everyone.
Some employees want to secure another employed role. Others may wish to explore independent consulting or consider starting a business.
Global Skills Passport is designed to support employees as they explore the direction that feels right for them.
Employment
Choose a role you're interested in, understand how your existing skills compare with its requirements, identify potential gaps and discover relevant learning.
Independent consulting
Consider how your professional experience and capabilities could translate into consulting services, and explore the skills and practical preparation involved.
Entrepreneurship
Consider a business idea, reflect on the skills and experience you could bring to it, and identify capabilities you may need to develop.
These are optional directions chosen by the employee, not prescribed pathways. The Passport does not recommend self-employment or guarantee employment, consulting clients, business success or income.
Consulting and entrepreneurship guidance is exploratory and in development, not a live business-launch service or legal, financial or tax advice.
Skills intelligence refreshed monthly
Powered by Abodoo SIIO™ Skills Intelligence Infrastructure, Global Skills Passport draws on skills intelligence refreshed monthly to reflect evolving job roles, skills requirements and the connections between them.
Employees can understand their existing technical, human and transferable skills, select a role they want to explore, compare their capabilities with its skills requirements and identify relevant learning to help address the gaps.
As roles evolve and new skills emerge, the intelligence underpinning the Passport evolves too.
The monthly refresh applies to SIIO's jobs-and-skills intelligence, not a live vacancy feed or a monthly course-catalogue update. Personalised Passport integration remains in preparation.
